Traditional AASN Program

Application Procedure

 

Class size is limited and all applicants may not be accepted into the program. Contact the program office for information. Interested individuals are encouraged to seek an advisor early in order to ensure that all prerequisite courses are completed in a timely fashion.

Applications must be received by October 1st to be considered for admission.

  1. Students must be admitted to Arkansas State University (see University admission policy and procedures at http://admissions.astate.edu )

  2. Application for Admission: The College of Nursing & Health Professions Associate in Applied Science in Nursing application is required.

  3. Official Transcripts: The department of nursing requires that all applicants request sealed official copies of transcripts for each college or university attended. The transcripts should be sent with your application in the unopened envelopes. Transcripts must include grades on courses taken in the last semester of enrollment (and evaluation of transfer work, if applicable)

  4. Students admitted will be required to supply additional documentation, including current CPR certification, Hepatitis B immunizations, TB skin test or chest X-ray, and up-to-date tetanus.

Students who wish to apply for this program should contact the Nursing office at the campus they plan to attend, either ASU-Mountain Home, ASU-Beebe, or ASU at Mid-South Community College in West Memphis.
